TUDOR DATE + DAY

WHY THIS WATCH - FULLY SERVICED, RARE BUCKLEY DIAL WITH ALL LUME PLOTS INTACT, ORIGINAL JUBILEE BRACELET

THINGS TO MENTION - NO ORIGINAL BOX/PAPERS

The Tudor Date + Day started its life as the 7017/0 at the end of 1960's and has continued in one guise or another until this day. Its appearance lagged behind the Rolex Daydate by some 13 years but in true Tudor style, and aligning to the vision of Hans Wilsdorf, it offered a Rolex quality watch and aesthetic at a much more affordable price. It wasn't until the 80's and 90's that Tudor started to offer some more interesting dial options. The buckley dial variant was one of those options, rumoured to have sourced its nickname from an avid Rolex collector. These dials are now quite sought after due to their limited run numbers, and timeless features. Combining the dial desirability with the 36mm case width and 20mm lug width, these Date + Day models are seen as quite collectable and prices have steadily risen over the past few years accordingly.

This example is offered with an engine turned bezel, white lacquered dial with black roman numeral markings, black hands and with all lume plots still intact. It is presented on the original jubilee bracelet and all elements of both the watch and strap are in great condition and show no signs of major wear and tear. They are accompanied by the original Tudor box. The ETA 2834-1 movement has been fully serviced in preparation for the sale by our highly qualified watchmaker and comes with service receipt. We wouldn't go as far as to say these are collectors pieces just yet, but we'd wager a safe bet that they will be in years to come, and will likely continue their rise in value.
