TUDOR CHRONOGRAPH 79280

WHY THIS WATCH - RARE BRUSHED LUG VARIANT, MOVEMENT RUNNING VERY STRONG & ACCURATE

THINGS TO MENTION - GENERAL WEAR & TEAR

One of the last ranges of Tudor watches to bear resemblance of those from parent company Rolex. They rounded out the vision of founder Hans Wilsdorf to create a brand equal to Rolex in design and performance but at a more affordable price point. The 792xx range continues with the aesthetic of the 94xxx and 791xx chronograph ranges but with a slimmer case profile. Gone are the 'Big Block' style case sides and in are slightly rounded, narrower sides giving the watch more wearable dimensions. The 792xx's offered the same dial and bezel combinations of the 791xx's, but later added more dial colour/finish options, different case material options and the, sometimes divisive, TIGER (Woods) collaboration. Regardless of dial and bezel combination, the influence of the Rolex Daytona is obvious throughout. We wouldn't go as far as to say these are collectors pieces just yet, but we'd wager a safe bet that they will be in years to come, and will likely continue their rise in value.

This example is offered with a polished tachymetre bezel, black sports dial, and comes with the original jubilee bracelet. All elements of the watch and strap are in good condition, showing reasonable signs of wear. The valjoux 7750 movement is running very strong and accurate.
